It's hard when you discover things you were never really intended to discover. Like a simple note tucked in a jacket or a message in the deleted folder.

It hurts to know that people have been keeping stuff away from you whether or not their reasons are valid. But what reason could be valid for hiding something? Guilt? Defensiveness? Fear? To get away? To keep you safe and sound? To keep your heart from aching?

I may be considered weak and fragile.

But, seriously, wouldn't it hurt a little less if we were told the TRUTH?

I'm not that rigid-minded not to be able to accept whatever truth there is, why was the truth kept from me? I'm not the type of person who would yell or be furious, but again, why was the truth kept from me? I believe I am included to be one of the few rational people there is, who doesn't let emotion drive them... so for the last time, why wasn't I told the truth?

Hiding something, aside from a surprise, sucks. It gives away the impressions that the person you're hiding it from cannot be trusted, irrational, or unworthy.

And what's worse is that hiding something from another person makes that person feel STUPID when he/she finds out.

Ugh.

Lesson for today: MAKE SURE YOU HIDE STUFF WHERE NO ONE CAN SEE THEM. Like maybe inside or beneath the toilet bowl, or maybe beneath the grass so the worms could feed on your dirty little secret.
