Toxicity

Last Wednesday, we had our first recollection in the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery. For once, I wasn't bored to death the whole time because the speakers, who are priests, we're all interesting and young.
They said that there are two professions that is "TOXIC" from the mere moment you decide to practice or learn it: being a doctor and a priest. I agree. Why? Well, here are a few comparisons:
- Doctors save lives. Priests save souls. Or at least, they die trying.
- Doctors are the ones who inform the family of the patients death. Priests say the mass for the dead.
- Doctors hear the patients' aches and pains. Priests hear the people's sins and spiritual concerns.
- Doctors, before becoming doctors, are imprisoned by their books and atlases for various subjects. Priests are confined in the seminary for a life of prayer and service.
- Both of which are not restricted by the time. You're always a doctor or a priest 24/7. You can't just watch a dying man when you're not in duty at the hospital. You can't refuse to anoint the sick when the situation calls for it just because you're not wearing the proper attire.
